HOW MANY CHARITIES ARE INVOLVED?

Around 30-40 will have guaranteed entries and others will have runners using their own entry to raise funds.

WHY IS IT GOOD FOR FUNDRAISING?

Even though all the events start very early the Disney crew create a party atmosphere and the charities have a good profile out on the course. They provide a range of support from point of sign up to post race. Some have pre-race pasta dinners.

WHAT ABOUT AFTER THE RACE?

Some of the bigger charities have a post race function on site to thank their runners for their efforts. Many of these include food and drink and masseurs. Friends and family are often invited to these.

HOW MUCH IS RAISED?

The latest available figures indicate around $2million was raised across all Disney events.

HOW TOUGH IS IT TO GET A CHARITY ENTRY?

Charities do sell out so don't leave it too late. The average pledge for a marathon entry is $1500 (there are some that are as low as $800), but this increases significantly if hotel nights are included. Additional events and challenges also increase the pledge.
