GREAT NORTH RUN

The Great North Run is one of the biggest half marathons in the world and the biggest fundraising half marathon on the planet. Many of the 50,000 runners are raising funds for one of hundreds of charities that have guaranteed entries. This bucket list event starts in the City of Newcastle and finishes in South Shields and along the course the charities support their runners with hundreds of cheer stations. At the finish many of the charites have space at the extensive charity village and offer food, drink and an arm round your shoulder! Pledge amounts for the charities listed below do differ, as do the rewards that they offer. Not all of them offer the running shoes if you hit £1000 of fundraising, but many do. Some have other incentives so check them out and then once you've decided who you want to run for complete the form and they'll be in touch. Remember it's one application at a time. Good luck!

There will be regular Zoom sessions, and we'll also send regular emails with training and fundraising support and details of new content, to make the whole process as straightforward as possible. You;'ll be sent a link to a free Plan and you just sign up in seconds. No credit card needed and no financial committment.

STEP 3

You'll need to sign a pledge form from your chosen charity. The charities buy these entrties direct from the event organisers so it's important you commit to the pledge. All of your rewards will be sent to you after you have completed your event.   If you hit the target for some new running shoes you'll be sent a voucher to use online and those selected will be sent to you direct from the store. Fundraising is much easier than you think and these exciting incentives will make it even easier!
