THIS IS A MESSAGE FOR RUNNERS WHO ARE REGISTERED WITH CRUNCH - THE CHARITY RUNNERS CLEARING HOUSE
Dear Runner
The Marathon has now sent out the vital pre-race info we have all been waiting for. Here’s a quick summary of the key details for all CRunCH runners.
You should have received the LM email at some point in the last 24 hours or so, headed “Important: your Participant Event Guide and start info”. It originated from: marketing@londonmarathonevents.co.uk. Runners started receiving this late on Tuesday afternoon (April 8).
This lists your key personal info – bib number, start wave/time etc. It also contains your unique QR code which you need to gain access to the LM Running Show at ExCel (April 23-26 – see below) to collect your number and Race Pack.
Below your personal info you will find a link to the Participant Event Guide https://www.londonmarathonevents.co.uk/sites/default/files/2025-04/TCSLM-2025-Event-Guide_v5.pdf
This explains everything from bib (i.e. number) collection to getting to the start, using the baggage lorries, on-course signage and facilities, and finally navigating the finish area. Please read all of it carefully.
Here are four absolutely key points to be aware of:
You must collect your bib and Race Pack before the event: no bib by 5.30pm on Saturday April 26 means no place on the start line on the 27th. There’s guidance on times to visit ExCel (Wednesday and Thursday much less busy than Friday and Saturday) and on what to do if you can’t get there in person.
Once you collect your bib, look after it: no duplicates/replacements under any circumstances!
Withdrawing pre-race (page 3): this only applies to Own Place (OP) / ballot runners: it does not apply to Golden Bond runners. If you can’t run, you just need to email us. Bear in mind, if in this unfortunate position, that as a Bond runner you can pull out as late as Race Day itself, even after collecting your bib: your place rolls over as long as your chip does nor cross the start line. But if you are an OP, follow the link to the LM website before midnight on Sat April 26.
Start lines and wave times are based on your predicted finishing time. These cannot be changed forward (i.e. to an earlier start time) but you may move to a later wave within your allocated start. No switching to different start lines is ever allowed.
If you have not received the email, first check all your inboxes – junk, spam etc. If you have more than one email address, check all of them. If you still can’t locate it, contact: helpdesk@londonmarathonevents.co.uk
Good luck!
Andy
