HOW MANY CHARITIES ARE INVOLVED?

Around 100 will have guaranteed entries and others will have runners using their own entry to raise funds. The bulk of the charities with guaranteed entries are from Ireland, but there are also some from the UK and some from the US.

WHY IS IT GOOD FOR FUNDRAISING?

The event is committed to growing the charity programme and the charities support their runners at all stages. There is plenty of support on the course, with lots of cheer zones.

WHAT ABOUT AFTER THE RACE?

There is a event for all charity runners near the finish where the charities thank their runners.

HOW MUCH IS RAISED?

On average over 9 million euros is raised annually and this is set to grow as the charity programme expands further.

HOW TOUGH IS IT TO GET A CHARITY ENTRY?

It's relatively easy at the moment, but likely to become more difficult as the number of runners entering the ballot increases. Expect to be required to raise anything from 1500 euros to US$3000.
